There is no conjecture in the fact that the Republicans, in cahoots with Enron, set up the bankruptcy of CA to take it over in a similar bloodless coup like it took over the White House. This plan has been unfolding since they began stacking the courts with right-wing judges since the Reagan era. You don't have to be psychic to understand that the Republicans, backed by the New American Century Project <www.newamericancentury.org>, has a plan all laid out as to how they are going to rape the planet to myopically enrich themselves and their handful of corporate cronies. They don't even think about what they are doing to their own grandchildren! And the ironic thing is that when the Earth becomes unlivable, it will be their great-grandchildren that be able afford passage on the rocket ship that colonizes the new virgin planet.

The thing that bothers me is how the American public and the Congress got mesmerized into letting it happen. Even now that Bush and his administration has been exposed as unethical liars and abusers, no one is moving to impeach him. It was OK to try to impeach a president for having adult consensual sex in a closet but it isn't OK to impeach a president that has transformed a national surplus into a $450 Billion debt, waged two wars against regimes originally fostered by the US but now vilified, sacrificed over 300 American lives while Bush himself was AWOL during his own military service, and has turned every regulatory agency into an agency of rape and destruction. Which is worth impeachment, consensual sex in a closet and a budget surplus or raping the planet and bankrupting the nation?

I've been giving money to an internet impeachment process but they don't seem to be able to make any progress. Why, when it is obvious that Bush and his administration are criminals, are we all so powerless to stop them? I have been more active than any other time in my life writing letters, signing petitions, donationg money, going to meetings, and praying, yet the fascist coup continues to expand unscathed. What happened to the "checks and balances" in the government?

Sometimes I think it is all in G-d's plan. But what's the point? Many Christians believe it is the time of the apocalypse. Maybe it is. Maybe that's why we are all powerless to stop the impending disaster. G-d's plan/apocalypse or not, I am driven to right the wrong. I'm not going to sit by idly letting it happen. As far as peaceful means, if Bush is re-elected in 2004, I expect to see an armed revolution. Unfortunately, I will probably be one of the first to die. I have small children, which will leave them motherless. I'm not sure my death in an armed insurrection will help anything at all, and certainly it won't help my children. But what can one do when the Congress is mesmerized, the Supreme Court is sympathetic to the fascists and the American public is opiated by TV drivel?

Impeachment is Constitutional

As I listened to the President's Orwellian double-speak at his State-of-the-Union speech, it became ever more obvious that the only way to stop his brazen acts of terrorism against the Iraqis, the American people, and against the unborn debtors of the future is to IMPEACH!

A "surge" of 20,000 more troops is a drop in the bucket. In order to accomplish the kind of security Bush is referring to, he would have to send in at least 150,000. The troops he had already begun to deploy into Iraq even before he made his speech are nothing more than thumbing his nose in the face of the American electorate and the Democratic majority in Congress. "Just try and stop me!" his words and attitude seemed to say.

Since the "young democracy" he refers to in Iraq is Shia controlled, I believe the 20,000 more troops he plans to deploy with the Iraqi Shia troops will be nothing more than a fascist genocide on Sunnis. Like Hitler, he will credit the coming bloodbath escalation toward protecting the security of America.

Bush referred to "our enemies in Iraq." In fact, there were absolutely NO IRAQIS involved in either attack on the WTC in 1993 or in 2001. It was mainly Pakistanis, Kuwaitis, and Saudis, who are now our strongest allies in the region. So what enemies in Iraq are the President referring to? So why are our troops in Iraq when Iraq never attacked America? The oil magnates that lead our current executive's office make it obvious: O-I-L! It is for oil wealth and oil power that our troops are dying and the wealth of our nation has been squandered. The only way to stop Bush's ruthlessly brazen waste of American resources is to IMPEACH!!!

He has refused his Assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.

He has forbidden his Governors Legislators to pass Laws of immediate and pressing importance, unless suspended in their operation till his Assent should be obtained; and when so suspended, he has utterly neglected to attend to them. Or he vetoed them.

He has refused to pass other Laws for the accommodation of large districts of people, unless those people would relinquish their rights the right of Representation in the Legislature GUARANTEED IN THE CONSTITUTION, a right inestimable to them and formidable to tyrants only.

He has called together legislative bodies IN SECRET, at places unusual, uncomfortable, and distant, for the sole purpose of fatiguing them into compliance with EXCLUDING OPPOSITION TO his measures.

He has dissolved OBSTRUCTED the Representative Houses repeatedly, for opposing with manly firmness ETHICAL OBJECTIONS his invasions on the Rights of the People.

HE HAS DISTRACTED THE PUBLIC FROM THE REAL ISSUES WITH MEDIA CAMPAIGNS FOR POPULAR BUT UNSUBSTANTIVE ISSUES.

He has endeavoured to obstruct the Laws for Naturalization of Foreigners, refusing to pass others to encourage their migrations hither, and raising the conditions of new Appropriations of Lands.

He has obstructed the Administration of Justice by refusing his Assent to Laws for establishing Judiciary Powers AND BY REMOVING THE POWER TO MAKE RULINGS FROM THE JUDICIARY.

HE HAS ILLEGALLY SIGNED OVER 1000 “SIGNING STATEMENTS” HOLDING HIMSELF ABOVE THE LAW.

HE HAS PASSED THE “MILITARY COMMISSIONS ACT OF 2006” WHICH SUSPENDS THE 900-YR OLD WRIT OF HABEAS CORPUS AND ALLOWS HIM TO DECLARE ANYONE TO BE AN “ENEMY COMBATANT,” ARREST AND INCARCERATE THEM WITHOUT EVIDENCE, AND HOLD THEM INDEFINITELY WITHOUT TRIAL.

He has made Judges and U.S. Attorneys dependent on his Will alone for the tenure of their offices, and the amount and payment of their salaries.

He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people.

He has affected to render the Military independent of and superior to the Civil Power.

He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction CONTRARY TO OUR CONTITUTION, and unacknowledged by our laws; giving his Assent to their Acts of pretended Legislation:

For protecting TROOPS, by a mock Trial from punishment for any Murders which they should commit on the Inhabitants of these States:

For imposing DEBTS on us without our Consent:

For depriving us in many cases, of the benefit of Trial by Jury:

For transporting us beyond Seas TO OFFSHORE DETENTION FACILITIES to await trial for pretended offences:

He has abdicated THE CONSTITUTION by declaring us ENEMY COMBATANTS and waging War against us.

He has FACILITATED LARGE CORPORATIONS TO plunder our seas, ravage our coasts, POLLUTE OUR AIR, WATER, AND SOIL, PLUNDER OUR NATURAL RESOURCES, and destroy the lives of our people.

He is at this time transporting large Armies of Mercenaries to compleat the works of death, desolation, and tyranny, already begun with circumstances of Cruelty & Perfidy scarcely paralleled in the most barbarous ages, and totally unworthy the Head of a civilized nation.

He has constrained our fellow NATIONAL GUARDS to bear Arms against their Country, to become the executioners of their friends and Brethren, or to fall themselves by their Hands.

He has excited VIOLENT insurrections DURING PEACEFUL DEMONSTRATIONS, and has endeavoured to SCAPEGOAT MUSLIMS TO INSTIGATE GENERAL FEAR AMONG THE PEOPLE.

In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A PRESIDENT, whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people!

THEREFORE, we must, therefore, acquiesce in the necessity, which denounces our Separation, and hold them, as we hold the rest of mankind, Enemies in War, in Peace Friends.
